Dust Event-Detection Cameras - Desert Southwest USA

These cameras are deployed as part of the Sources, compositions, and effects of atmospheric dust in American drylands. The primary objective of the Desert Southwest cameras is to capture and document regional climate variability with a specific focus on local and regional dust emission and transport.

Images update every 6-15 minutes. Check the timestamp on the image to ensure it is current. Time in Utah is displayed as Mountain Daylight (MDT) or Mountain Standard Time (MST).

Environmental Event-Detection Cameras - Arctic Alaska

The primary objective of the Alaska environmental cameras is to capture and document regional climate variability with a specific focus on snow cover, timing and distribution as well as permafrost feature evolution. They are also used extensively for small aircraft logistics and are a collaborative effort with the Arctic Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management.

Images update every 30 minutes. Check the timestamp on the image to ensure it is current. Time displayed is Alaska Daylight Time (ADT).
